Ms. Gunderson graduated from Montana State University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Hispanic Studies. She then attended the University of Iowa College of Law and graduated with distinction in 2018. In law school, Ms. Gunderson was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Pro Bono Society, and worked as a Research Assistant for one of her professors.

During her time in law school Ms. Gunderson worked as a summer associate at a law firm in her hometown of Billings, Montana. She joined Demco Law Firm as a full-time lawyer upon her admission to the Washington State Bar in 2018. In her free time Ms. Gunderson enjoys hiking, skiing, and, although unpopular in Seattle, cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
