Dakota Nelson joined Demco Law Firm in 2021 after moving back to her hometown of Seattle. During law school, she spent a year working at the California Innocence Project, where she was honored with the Professor Janeen Kerper Scholarship for Criminal Defense Advocacy for her advocacy skills.
Dakota graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 2020, finishing in the top 16% of her class. While in law school, she was invited to be a member of the school’s Law Review and International Journal. She earned her B.S. in Psychology cum laude from the University of Arizona.
Dakota is admitted to practice law in both California and Washington.
In her free time, Dakota enjoys playing tennis and fostering dogs through the Seattle Animal Shelter.
